Wedding Day at Shepherds Field Wedding Venue Sisters/Bend, Oregon

The weather called for a sunny day as June 5th, 2021, rolled around and Traven and Kymala's wedding day was starting to take shape. This was a wedding day that so many have been planning for and as I pulled into Shepherds Field Venue to meet Traven and Kymala the day before to walk the venue, I could see everything she was telling me she envisioned for their wedding. The Venue was nothing short of breathtaking as it sits up on a cliff overlooking views in all directions. To the left, we could see Smith Rock State Park and to the right, the Three Sisters Mountains (Faith, Hope, and Love). The sophistication of the grounds is also just as spectacular as the views with its beautiful rock boulders, juniper trees and luxurious home.

As the morning of their wedding day started, calm wind gusts quickly became stronger and at one point in the day, the winds were forcing me to take steps backwards (literally) as the winds were becoming stronger. As the day continued and we started into the timeline of events, the winds were blowing up to 40+ MPH Gusts and placing out tablecloths, décor or even chairs in the ceremony area was not a successful part of the day. At one point, I could see a little bit of panic from everyone including vendors and as I mingled around capturing what details that I could before they blew down. But what stood out to me the most was Kymala's kindheartedness + graceful approach in not having control of the situation and Traven's ONLY concern or moments of panic in the situation was to make this day PERFECT for kymala. Not once did either of these two lose sight of what this day truly represented. Their Love for each other and keeping a kindhearted spirit with each other and their loved ones around them even in a 40+ MPH storm. As the Ceremony time approached, the winds calmed down and continued to do so for the evening.. everything was perfect!

I got the opportunity to get to know these two amazing humans last year during their engagement shoot and in all the years of being a photographer, there are certain couples that I feel gravitated too. I think a lot of it has to do with our personalities being very similar, but one thing that drew me in with these two was their Kindhearted nature, love + grace in the way they interacted with each other and the way these two complimented each other in every way..

I have been excited for their wedding day to arrive and on the drive to Bend, Oregon I was dancing in the car + excited beyond belief the whole way!! I knew this wedding day was going to nothing short of perfect and as I packed my gear back into the car after the wedding day...

I thought to myself ................ THIS IS MY WHY!!!!

I cannot even express the words for being able to capture these two on their wedding day! Even with 40 something MPH wind gusts, the day was PERFECT.

Traven + Kymala focused on nothing else except their love for each other and celebrating that with all their favorite peoples.
